Grilling a steak shouldn't take more than just a few minutes. The main mistake most people make is not getting the grill hot enough. Chef Patrick Kirkland of Big Mike's Steakhouse will tell you to get the grill as hot as you can. All this heat will sear in the flavors. Cook on one side for two to three minutes and flip over cooking another two to three minutes. Don't poke it, don't pierce it with a fork, just use a spatula to take it off the grill. That should give you the most tender juicy steak that you've ever had.
