We all know Cincy has one of the best beer scenes around. Now, one brewery is taking aim at the craft whiskey scene.
March First Brewing in Sycamore Township has announced plans to open a new distillery for its Sycamore Whiskey brand.
The 14,000 square foot complex will sit at the site of the former Millcroft Inn in downtown Milford, featuring a tasting room, VIP barrel room, rooftop patio, and full kitchen.
Sycamore Whiskey got its start in 2016 as a subsidiary of March First Brewing, making whiskey, bourbon and Ohio AppleJack. March First is also known for their popular ciders.
“There is no more historically fitting location on the planet to expand Sycamore Distilling than at the Millcroft site. The sheer symmetry of moving a distillery back into Old Milford at the hallowed Kugler-Waldschmidt Millcroft Inn is incredibly inspiring for our team.” said Mark Stuhlreyer, the firm’s president.
No opening date has been announced just yet, but we’ll be sure to update you when it is.
