Summer is looking better than ever for teachers this year. CheapCaribbean is offering free flights for teachers but you must act fast.
By signing up for the travel company’s Beach 4 Teach Club, you’ll enter your name for a chance to receive a free flight for yourself and a guest. In order to be considered, you must book a stay at one of a selection of resorts in Mexico and fill out the Beach for Teach form.
The free flight offer is on a “first come first serve” basis and only 50 people will be awarded.
To qualify, you must be a teacher in the United States. You’ll also need to show proof of employment in the form of a pay statement, state education certification, school website proving credentials or a school ID, according to the CheapCaribbean website.
Stays must be booked at one of the following resorts, according to PopSugar — Zoetry, Breathless Secrets, Reflect, Now or Sunscape Resort in Mexico — and trips must take place between July 10 and December 31, 2019, with select blackout dates, Travel + Leisure reports.
Winners will be notified by May 10 — which is the perfect ending to Teacher Appreciation Week.
“There has been a national wave of teacher walkouts for over a year now — 400,000 teachers were off the job in strikes or lockouts in 2018 alone,” representatives said in a statement. ” Nearly two-thirds of educators find work ‘always’ or ‘often’ stressful, which is twice the rate of other workers. And, nearly one in five U.S. teachers work a second job and 94% spend their own money on school supplies.”
If you’re not selected for this cool offer, no worries. According to the Teacher Discounts website, there are other ways you can save on travel this summer.
Hotels such as Marriott and StaySky Hotels & Resorts offer discounts throughout the year. Marriott offers discounts for federal, state, and county and local government employees, for which teachers may qualify and, at StaySky, teachers will find a 25 percent teacher discount.
Teachers, let’s start web searching! Deals are waiting.
