Cincinnati Moon Festival, a Celebration of Asian Culture, Returns to Fountain Square

The Greater Cincinnati Chinese Cultural Exchange Association (GCCCEA) and the Cincinnati USA Convention and Visitors Bureau, through its Vibe Cincinnati platform, are excited to present the 2021 Cincinnati Moon Festival, one of the largest celebrations of Asian culture, on Saturday, Oct. 2, 3–7 p.m. at Fountain Square.

After the temporary disruption by the pandemic in 2020, the Cincinnati Moon Festival returns to offer local residents in the Greater Cincinnati Area an opportunity to experience authentic Asian culture. This year’s celebration features expanded cultural immersion experiences and more diverse performances. Families with children can choose a variety of interactive activities, visit many DIY booths, and pick up exquisite souvenirs. Visitors will also enjoy authentic Asian food and a lantern display at the event.

“This event combines cultural celebration, family-oriented activities, food, and performing arts into one rich experience. It’s a great opportunity for people who are interested in experiencing a different culture and having a cultural dialogue with the Asian community,” said Felicity Tao, chair of the Greater Cincinnati Chinese Cultural Exchange Association.

“Cincinnati’s growing Asian community continues to contribute to the cultural fabric of this wonderful region with multi-cultural roots and the Moon Festival is one of the largest events presented by the community to celebrate our heritage and support diversity and inclusion in this region.”

Admission to the Cincinnati Moon Festival is FREE.
