Taste meets Race this weekend as the Hyde Park Blast and Beer Wine Food Festival team up for one amazing day.
The Blast, a leading running and cycling event attracting over 10,000 participants annually, and The Beer Wine Food Festival, a 10-year Cincinnati craft brewery and wine tradition attracting 3,000 attendees annually, have announced that they will combine their events for one GIANT day of fun on June 29th, 2019 with thousands of attendees from the Greater Cincinnati area.
Events will feature The Blast 4-mile run at 7:30am with a Kids Fun Run at 9am. Then at 1pm, it will feature the largest one-day competitive road bicycling event in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky – with cyclists reaching speeds from 35-50 MPH as they race around the Hyde Park Square! At 3pm, it will culminate in the Beer Wine and Food Festival – featuring over 60 varieties of local and national beer and wine, as well as acoustic and rock stages featuring bands such as Plan B, G. Burton Story, Troubadour Dali, The Sunburners and the Trailer Park Floosies for over 14 hours of live music.
Best of all, both events benefit causes close to home. Since 2001, the festivals have supported local cancer research charities like The Cure Starts Now with nearly $700,000 in donations! This year The Blast is expected to generate nearly $300,000 alone for The Cure Starts Now! As part of this support, The Cure Starts Now has named LJ Barnes, 4, ambassador of the 2019 Hyde Park Blast.
Stay up to date with all things Cincy Weekend!
