This creepy skull cake is perfect for a Halloween party

Nina from Nina's Fresh Bakery in Jupiter, FL shares her vanilla skull cake recipe and decorating tips!

It’s spooky season and that means it’s time to bake up some scarily good treats for your next get-together! Nina from Nina’s Fresh Bakery in Jupiter, Florida tipped us off to this creepy skull cake pan that is sure to wow your guests!

Here’s a great vanilla cake recipe for you to use for this dessert everyone will be dying to try.

INGREDIENTS:

2 Eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup canola oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups cake flour
2 tsp baking powder

DIRECTIONS:

Combine your wet ingredients together and your sift together your dry ingredients. Mix together and then bake in the skull cake pan at 325 degrees for 14 minutes.

GET CREATIVE!

You can use any canned white frosting from your local supermarket to cover the skull cake. We suggest candy body parts for the eyes and to give it a little something extra!

Nina really spices up her skull cake by cutting a slice out of the back, and using frosting to adhere pop-rocks where the “brain” would be located.

You can’t go wrong with how you choose to decorate this cake! It’s spook-tacular!
