‘The Sandlot’ will return as a TV series with original cast members!

Let us rejoice!

After 25 years, the American coming-of-age sports comedy film, “The Sandlot” will return to the big screen as a TV series.

The original movie, which came out in 1993, was set in San Fernando Valley in the ’60s.  ‘Smalls’ manages to make friends with a group of kids who play baseball at the sandlot. Together they go on a series of funny and touching adventures.

Writer-director David Mickey Evans said that the TV series, which will run on an unnamed streaming service, will bring back Smalls, Ham, Yeah-Yeah and the gang … but this time as adults in the 1980s. We’re about to get an order for the first two seasons.

I already got all the original cast members back. It takes place in 1984, when they’re all like 33 years old and they all have children of their own, and that’s all I can tell you.”
