The National’s Homecoming music festival will not be returning to Cincinnati in 2019.

Homecoming’s inaugural lineup, announced in January, came packed with some pretty big names. The National, a Cincinnati-born group, rocked Smale Park with help from Father John Misty, Feist, Lord Huron, and Julien Baker.

But the band took to Facebook on Thursday to say that it would be taking a break from the event.

“We want to thank everyone who made our inaugural Homecoming/MusicNOW festival such an unforgettable experience,” a post reads. “We’re taking a break in 2019.”

The band hinted it may bring the festival back in the future but did not elaborate.
