Call it a nightmare before Christmas but the Dent Schoolhouse just gave a present to horror fans in the Tri-State.
The renowned haunted house is holding a special, 2-day event just in time for the winter holiday. Organizers are calling it “A Christmas Nightmare.”
The special showing will run this Friday and Saturday, (December 7th and 8th,) from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Dent Schoolhouse co-creator Bud Stross said that other haunted attractions across the country have put on Christmas-style haunted houses, but they wanted to put a Cincinnati-spin on the phenomena.
“We have transformed everything from the soundtrack, the characters, to even parts of the schoolhouse… everything will have a touch of Christmas and Halloween,” Stross said in a release.
The scare-filled event will feature fan-favorite characters from Dent’s past including “The Janitor,” and they’ll be joined by classic holiday characters such as Krampus, the Grinch and Mrs. Claws.
Organizers said every ticket includes entry into A Christmas Nightmare event and a digital photo with a “ghoulish” Dent Schoolhouse Santa.
Tickets start at $25 and are available online at www.frightsite.com.
The Dent Schoolhouse is located 5963 Harrison Ave. in Cincinnati.
