It’s been an interesting couple of years at the Barton 1792 distillery in Bardstown.
And this year, the coronavirus crisis has kept its doors closed to visitors for several months now. But July 1, Barton 1792 is scheduled to reopen for business.
The distillery will open with what it’s calling “enhanced accommodations for offering the safest possible distillery experience.”
Barton 1792 has expanded its gift shop and visitor center, in order to create more space to allow for social distancing. “New safety and sanitation protocols” also are in place, and all guests will be required to wear face masks, according to a statement from the distillery.
All visitors must register at 1792Distillery.com.
Buffalo Trace, in Frankort, also is planning for the July 1 reopening. It, too, has expanded its visitor center to allow for social distancing.
Guests will be required to wear face masks, and they will also need to share some personal information in the event that contact tracing is necessary. Click here to register your visit.
Curbside sales are continuing at both distilleries.
