Big things are in the works in Fairfax.

Organizers have announced plans to open Karrikin Spirits Company later this year, focusing on mixed cocktails, hard sodas, non-alcoholic soda and more.
Owners are working to open a 30,000 square foot facility this Fall at 3717 Jonlen Drive in Fairfax with a production house, full-service bar, quick service bar, restaurant and event space.

Behind the project are some pretty big names in the food and beverage industry including Jeff Hunt (Founder of MadTree Brewing), Mike Florea (Executive Chef & Operating Partner at Maribelles Eat+Drink), Jeff Reichard (President of Holt & Reichard, Inc), Dan Hueber (owner of The V Collective), Mike Powell (former Vice President of operations at Panera Bread), John Pattison (Creative Director at Project Red) and another founder to be revealed at a later date.
“I started in the craft industry with a love of beer, but it grew into a love of flavors,” says Jeff Hunt. “A love of crafting new things. With Karrikin comes the ability to expand and grow new craft beverage categories as well as diversify and mature in that creative process.”
