Graeter’s Ice Cream Offers Limited-Edition Rookwood Ceramic Fiona Ice Cream Bowls

Graeter’s Ice Cream has announced a limited-edition ceramic pottery bowl inspired by the Cincinnati Zoo’s own Fiona the hippo, just in time for the holidays. Born six weeks before her due date, the Cincinnati Zoo’s preemie hippo, Fiona, captured hearts around the world in early 2017 – and has ever since.

In celebration of Fiona’s third birthday, Graeter’s Ice Cream and Rookwood Pottery have teamed up to create a special ice cream bowl inspired by Fiona’s playfulness and persevering spirit. The bowl carries the art of local artist, Loren Long, and is a great way to enjoy a scoop or two of Graeter’s Chunky Chunky Hippo ice cream, a signature flavor created to honor Fiona and her fans. Portions of the proceeds will go to the Cincinnati Zoo.

This bowl enlists Rookwood’s iconic carving technique and glaze colors. Every Rookwood Pottery piece is brought to life by artists using the same techniques and attention to detail used over a century ago. This hand-crafted process ensures that no two pieces are ever exactly the same. Each bowl retails for $49.95 and comes packaged in a Rookwood Pottery box, perfect for holiday gifting. The bowls will be limited to four (4) per person.

This limited-edition ceramic bowl will be available only at Deerfield (5076 Natorp Blvd., 45040), West Chester (7651 Cox Road, 45069), Kenwood (7389 Kenwood Road, 45236), Harrison Greene (5649 Harrison Ave., 45248), Ft. Mitchell (301 Buttermilk Pike, 41017) and Cherry Grove (8533 Beechmont Ave., 45255) scoop shops, only while supplies last.
