Sign up for Summer Reading at the Clermont County Public Library

Sign up for Summer Reading at the Library The Library has “a universe of stories” ready for the annual Summer Reading program designed for kids, teens and adults. You can win prizes for each level completed, plus be entered to win tickets to the Cincinnati Zoo, Riverbend, Cincinnati Museum Center, Cincinnati Nature Center or Kings Island. Best of all, students can keep their reading skills sharp so when school starts in the fall, they won’t have to relearn lessons from the previous year. “The Clermont County Public Library is dedicated to life-long learning at all ages, especially children because good reading skills help them do well in school,” said Christine Wick, library director. “The Library offers many tools parents can use to help their children become good readers and maintain their skills.” Winning prizes during the Summer Reading program is easy. Check out a book, graphic novel, magazine or listen to an audiobook and record the number of minutes reading. A prize is awarded for every 200 minutes reported for a maximum of three prizes. Students can use their summer reading list from school to complete each level, or check out a bestseller. The library offers many digital download options, too. Sign up for Summer Reading starting May 1, and reading minutes can be recorded June 1 to Aug. 1. Visit us online to download a paper gameboard or bookmark. It’s easy to participate: • Read, be read to or listen to a book. For every 200 minutes of reading, you can win a prize. Visit your local branch to pick a prize. • Log the minutes read here starting June 1. • Each time you complete 200 minutes of reading and log the time here, you are entered to win a grand prize. • A drawing will be held on June 10 for 2 sets of 2 one day admission tickets to Kings Island for those who have registered for the program in READSquared. For more information, ask a library staff member. They are happy to help. Happy Reading!
