Dolly Parton premieres weekly book reading video series

Award-winning country music singer, Dolly Parton and her Imagination Library program premiere a new reading video series, “Goodnight with Dolly”.

Her ‘Imagination Library‘ program, a program that mails free books to children from birth to age five, was launched in 1995 to foster the love of reading in kids.

The series will launch Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 6 pm CDT and continue once a week for ten weeks.

You can watch online HERE, on Facebook HERE. You can also find them across the Imagination Library, Dolly Parton, World Choice Investments, and Dollywood channels.

Imagination Library shares that “Dolly hopes these videos will provide a welcomed distraction during a time of unrest and also inspire a love of reading and books in the hearts of the children who see them.”

Goodnight with Dolly will feature a handful of Imagination Library’s books.

And the Book Lady herself says, “This is something I have been wanting to do for quite a while, but the timing never felt quite right. I think it is pretty clear that now is the time to share a story and to share some love. It is an honor for me to share the incredible talent of these authors and illustrators. They make us smile, they make us laugh and they make us think.”
