Dairy Queen’s Sour Patch Kids Blizzard is here

OK – so, we’re a little late to the party on this one. We’re sorry, but it’s better late than never, right? On July 1, POPSUGAR revealed that a new Blizzard treat had made its way to Dairy Queens across the United States. If you’re at all familiar with the sour, chewy treat, then you’ll likely know it’s one of the candy industry’s most popular. The cavity-inducing Sour Patch kids are a mainstay in movie theaters across the United States. And now, that same delicacy is coming to Dairy Queen.

Available at participating Dairy Queen locations until the end of July, the Sour Patch Kids Blizzard features chopped-up versions of the candy throughout. The ice cream itself is a “Redberry” flavored soft-serve slice of heaven. If that doesn’t get your taste buds going, I doubt there’s much which will.

The Sour Patch Kids Blizzard is the latest in Dairy Queen’s new “Blizzard of the Month” promotion, which features brand new tastes every 30 or so days. There’s even another new Blizzard treat running concurrently in the form of the “Out-of-This-World” Blizzard. It’s made to commemorate the anniversary of America’s moon landing. It’s also available at participating locations through July.

Don’t forget: if they serve it right-side-up then the Blizzard is free! (Source: Dairy Queen)

So, what do you think? Are you going to try one of these new concoctions?
