Clouds in Your Coffee

A creative way to sweeten up your next cup of joe.

Show the coffee aficionado in your life some extra love with this Clouds in Your Coffee idea from Lyons’ Pride Coffee.

It’s pretty simple…

In a small saucepan, bring 4 oz. of heavy whipping cream to a simmer. Pour the cream over 4 oz. of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Wait 30 seconds then stir everything together until you get a thick chocolate ganache. Let it cool.

If you have a cotton candy maker, add some candy floss (1 spoonful) and let it melt. You can add hard candy. Try different flavors like cinnamon, peppermint, butterscotch or hard caramel for something unique. Use a long wooden skewer to collect the cotton candy.

Brew your favorite coffee.

Take a spoonful of the ganache and place in a coffee mug. Add coffee and stir until the chocolate is melted.

Upon presentation, let your favorite coffee drinker stir in the cotton candy to complete the “Clouds in Your Coffee.”
