Cincinnati’s Asian Food Fest Celebrates 10th Annual Event in 2020

Asian Food Fest will return to The Banks for the 10th annual event May 9-10, 2020. The festival, produced by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber in partnership with the Asian American Cultural Association of Cincinnati, will take place on Freedom Way between Elm and Walnut Streets. The event is free and open to the public. A record crowd of 40,000 enjoyed Asian Food Fest in 2019.

“The Cincinnati Region has embraced Asian Food Fest and helped this unique event grow over the past 10 years. In addition to the great food and entertainment, this year we are excited to add some new fun elements for festival goers to experience – both interactive and educational. We may even teach you how to say “DELICIOUS” in several different languages,” said Cynthia Oxley, the Chamber’s director of sponsorship and community events.

Applications for Food Vendors are now open. In 2019, over 30 food vendors participated, offering an array of Asian dishes.

“The popular Secret Menu booth will also return in 2020,” said Bao Nguyen of the Asian American Cultural Association of Cincinnati. “Secret Menu features creative Asian recipes from aspiring food entrepreneurs that are only available at Asian Food Festival. These popular, one-of-a-kind items consistently sell out during the event weekend.”

Asian Food Fest celebrates the culture, cuisine, entertainment and drinks of Asian communities including Cambodia, China, Hawaii, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

A portion of the proceeds from Asian Food Fest will benefit the 501(c)(3) non-profit Asian American Cultural Association of Cincinnati and future Asian cultural events in Greater Cincinnati.
