Cincinnati Music Festival will bring some of the biggest names in R&B to Paul Brown Stadium this July.
Charlie Wilson, Jill Scott and MC Lyte are set to headline the three-day event, organizers announced Monday.
Common, The Roots and Cincinnati legend Bootsy Collins will also perform.
Here’s the artist schedule for Cincinnati Music Festival: Thursday, July 26: MC Lyte, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Shingo Fashion Show, and Cincinnati’s own DJ Vader
Friday, July 27: Charlie Wilson, Xscape, Boyz II Men, Fantasia, After 7
Saturday, July 28: Jill Scott, The Roots, Common, Keith Sweat, The O’Jays, Bootsy Collins
The festival started as the Ohio Valley Jazz Festival in the 1960s. Since its name change in 2014, the festival has become the largest annual event in the Queen City.
Organizers say the 2017 fest drew an audience of more than 83,000 people – 79.8 percent of those attendees were from out-of-town.
“It’s more than just a music festival,” said Jason Dunn, Vice President of Multicultural Sales and Community Development for the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau.
“The Cincinnati Music Festival drives our regional and national reputation around diversity and inclusion as well as cultural vibrancy and entertainment power.”
