In just two weeks, craft beer fans will have yet another taproom to quench their thirst as the Boston Beer Company unveils its new Samuel Adams taproom in Over-the-Rhine.
Sam Adams will open the taproom doors to the public on November 15. The new taproom and brewery is located at 1642 Central Pkwy., adjacent to Boston Beer’s current brewery at the old Hudepohl-Schoenling building.
In an earlier release, Jim Koch — the founder of Samuel Adams — said, “We’ve been dreaming of opening a tap room in the neighborhood since we purchased the brewery 21 years ago, so we could share our beers with local drinkers. However, our main focus up until now has been to continue to improve and enhance our brewery capabilities. Now, I’m thrilled to see this dream finally become a reality. Cincinnati is my hometown with such a rich brewing history and I’ve seen our city blossom as a craft beer mecca that is home to some of the finest breweries and tap rooms in the country.”
The company said many of the design elements at the site were chosen to reflect the rich brewing heritage of Cincinnati.
Boston Beer officials said they will brew onsite, and the taproom will feature indoor and outdoor spaces. It will also feature beers brewed exclusively for the Cincinnati market including the 513 lager. Craft beer fans will be able to purchase growlers and crowlers of beer on tap, as well.
More details on the grand opening are expected soon.
