All Nine Oktoberfest Zinzinnati Stages will Host the Chicken Dance

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, announced that it would expand its World’s Largest Chicken Dance to all nine stages, throughout the event. Local media celebrities will lead the massive audience from each of Oktoberfest Zinzinnati’s stages, Saturday, September 21, 5 p.m.

“Expanding the Oktoberfest Zinzinnati World’s Largest Chicken Dance to nine stages is a new and fun way to certify that Zinzinnati is home to the World’s Largest Chicken Dance – and to show our nation that Zinzinnati is America’s Oktoberfest™,” said Lori Salzarulo, event manager.

“Essentially, the 2019 Oktoberfest Zinzinnati grand marshal is you,” added Ms. Salzarulo. “Please join us Saturday at 5 p.m. to make this the largest Chicken Dance ever!”

Hundreds of thousands of chicken dancers have congregated every year since 1994 when the Crown Prince of Bavaria led Zinzinnatians to the original record as World’s Largest Chicken Dance! Prior to 2019, the Chicken Dance was led by local, national and global celebrities. They include:

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, presented by Amazon and Samuel Adams and produced by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, will be held September 20-22, 2019 on Second and Third Streets, between Walnut and Elm Streets in downtown Zinzinnati. First held in 1976, the annual celebration of German food, beer and music has grown to be America’s largest Oktoberfest celebration.

Friday & Saturday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
