Summer can be a conflicting time for a lot of dog owners here in Cincinnati. You wanna go out, the weather is nice, but can you bring your dog? To avoid the confusion and help with your decision making, we picked 8 of our favorite places in town where you can bring your four legged friend, and probably meet some new ones.

Putz's Creamy Whip - Mt. Airy

Putz’s is a Cincinnati ice cream institution, so what better place to take your dog when you’ve got the ultimate craving? For us, it’s like every day. Be sure to order a “Pup Cup” for your friend.

Woodburn Brewery - East Walnut Hills

Woodburn avenue in East Walnut Hills is definitely one of the best dog walking streets in town. So while you’re trekking it with your four legged friend, you’ve gotta stop by Woodburn Brewery. Unlike some other spots, you can actually bring your dog inside the taproom in addition to their back patio. When you’re covered in fur, air conditioning is always a plus.

Rules: Dogs on a leash allowed inside the taproom and on the back patio.

Queen City Radio - Over-the-Rhine

As far as good vibes go, you’ll always find them at Queen City Radio. They’ve got a giant patio and beer garden perfect for hanging out with your pooch when the sun is out.

MadTree Brewing - Oakley

If you’re looking to take your dog to a taproom, and space is a key concern, the beer garden at MadTree Brewing is the place to be. It’s big, it’s beautiful and with dozens of taps outside, you never have to leave your pup alone to grab a brew.

Rules: Dogs with a leash are allowed in outdoor beer garden only, never inside.

Urbana Cafe - Pendelton

Aside from being one of the best coffee shops around downtown, Urbana Cafe is notably dog friendly. Bring your friend in while you grab an espresso and hang out for a while on the patio out back. The smells from Nation Kitchen and Bar next door might have you grabbing some tots too.

Rules: Well behaved dogs allowed inside under supervision.

Fifty West Brewing - Columbia Township

What can we say? Breweries love dogs and it definitely seems like dogs love breweries. Complete with all the action of the sand volleyball court, Fifty West Brewing is an excellent place to bring your dog. Whether it’s at the production works spot or across the street for food at the brewpub, they’ve been dog friendly for years. Oh yeah, did we mention that the Punch You In The EyePA is excellent?

Alreddy Coffee and Cafe - Sharonville

Planted right on the adorable main drag of downtown Sharonville, Alreddy Coffee and Cafe is the perfect first stop on a morning dog walk. Aside from their delicious coffee, scones and pancakes, they’ve got a fantastic back patio where you can enjoy all three with your pup. Enjoy the serenity.

Liberty's Bar and Bottle - Over-the-Rhine

Sipping on a glass of wine or a pint of beer is relaxing on it’s own. At Liberty’s Bar and Bottle in OTR you can do it right alongside your pooch with the windows open for a picture perfect patio night. They’ve got a giant selection sure to impress any wine or beer connoisseur and the staff will even bring a bowl of water out for a dog with your order.
